Photo processing & privacy

How processing works

Face detection, segmentation, cropping and background replacement all run in your browser. The first time you process a photo, the page downloads its AI model files from this site. The photo itself is not sent to our servers or any third party, and it is never used to train models.

Storage and logs

This site never receives your photo, so it cannot store it. The hosting provider still logs requests for pages and model files, such as request times and IP addresses. To suggest your country, the site asks the hosting provider for the country of your connection; it is not stored. Earlier versions processed photos on a server; this notice does not cover deleting data those versions retained.

Anonymous usage counts

To see how the site is used, the page counts visits, processed photos and downloads, with the document type, language, mode and processing time. Each count also records the country of the connection and whether the device is a phone or a computer. It never includes the photo, your IP address, cookies or any identifier, and automated traffic is not counted.

Before you choose a photo

Only use portraits you are authorised to process. Do not choose passport scans or documents containing identity numbers. Closing the page removes its previews; downloaded photos remain on your device.
